On Sunday, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, a meeting of the Bharatiya Janata Party's legislative party was convened to discuss strategies for the upcoming assembly session starting Monday. The focus was on ensuring smooth proceedings and prioritizing public welfare schemes and issues of public interest.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the state's double-engine government is dedicated to the comprehensive development of Rajasthan. He stated, “The people of the state have elected our government with high hopes and trust, and we are fully committed to meeting those expectations.”
Sharma urged all ministers to come prepared to answer questions related to their departments during the assembly session and to present the government's stance on public welfare initiatives and achievements in detail.
He also appealed to the legislators to remain present in the assembly throughout the session and to support the government on issues raised by the opposition. Additionally, he encouraged all members to prioritize public interest topics during discussions.
The Chief Minister remarked that the Congress party aims to disrupt the proceedings of the house, while the BJP believes that the assembly should serve as a platform to fulfill the public's expectations. Therefore, the BJP's priority will be to ensure the assembly functions smoothly for the benefit of the people, while also robustly countering the false and misleading propaganda spread by the Congress.
He announced that the state government plans to introduce several new bills during this session and urged all legislators to ensure 100% attendance to facilitate the smooth passage of these public interest bills.
In the coming days, the state government will launch several significant initiatives, including a service fortnight, village and city outreach campaigns, a cooperative movement, and the Khelo India University Games, and he encouraged all legislators to actively participate in these efforts.
Present at the meeting were BJP state president Madan Rathore, Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Premchand Baid, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Jogaram Patel, Chief Whip Jogeshwar Garg, along with members of the state cabinet and legislators.
